Measuring Ferrite Content

Lack of ferrite, for example around weld seams, leads to significant structural weaknesses in austenitic and duplex steels. Too-high ferrite content, on the other hand, reduces corrosion resistance, toughness and ductility. Therefore, depending on the application scenario, it can be critical to know the exact ferrite content. Fischer offers precise measurement instruments with which you can determine the proportion of ferrite quickly and non-destructively.
